Francesca Baroni

Policy Analyst

Biography

Francesca Baroni is a graduate student with the Rutgers School of Social Work’s (RUSSW) Management and Policy Specialization. In 2021, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BASW and as an Honors College scholar from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She has also been selected to be a part of the RUSSW Policy Fellows program to understand how she, as a social worker, can effectively influence policy change. Furthermore, Francesca is a RUSSW LISTA certificate candidate; this program helps her understand how to better serve Latino communities as a social worker. Francesca is passionate about achieving social justice for various marginalized and low-income communities, with a special emphasis on Latino issues,  by addressing systems of oppression. As such, she currently works with the Latino Action Network Foundation (LANF) as Policy Analyst. In addition, she has been working with Dr. Lenna Nepomnyaschy as a research assistant to explore the effects of child support enforcement policies on nonresident parents and their children.
