The aim of this town hall is to raise awareness and create a platform for open dialogue regarding Chapter 6 of the NJ Administrative Code, and specifically focus on aspects of equality, inclusivity, and accountability in our school districts. We believe it is essential to engage directly from decision makers like yourselves, as well as engage in meaningful conversations with students who have been directly impacted by the code.
The agenda for the event includes informative sessions summarizing the code, a discussion with students about their experiences, proposals from subject matter experts, and a call to action to outline the next steps for achieving greater equity and equality in education. During our discussions, we will also delve into the significance of critical race theory and address the pressing issue of segregation that persists within our community, primarily resulting from barriers imposed by zip codes.
We value your perspectives and insights in shaping the future of our educational system, and your presence at this town hall will contribute significantly to the discussion. Your input and participation will help us to collectively work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
