Mobilizing Our Communities: LANF’s In-Person Canvassing Across New Jersey

As part of the Million Voters Project

Throughout May and into June, our team at the Latino Action Network Foundation (LANF) has been on the ground, connecting with communities across New Jersey to educate, listen, and mobilize as part of the non-partisan Million Voters Project. From Englewood to Union, Red Bank, and New Brunswick, we've worked alongside volunteers and community partners to ensure our neighbors are informed, empowered, and ready to make their voices heard.

📍 Englewood | May 3, 2025

Our first in-person canvass kicked off in Englewood, in collaboration with AAPI New Jersey and hosted by the Women’s Centers. Together, we reached local residents to share non-partisan voting information and talk about the issues that matter most. This event set the tone for a season of grassroots outreach built on unity, shared values, and collective action.

📍 Union | May 18, 2025

In Union, the LANF team took to the streets and knocked on 379 doors in one day. The determination of our canvassers helped ensure that hundreds of residents received timely, accessible information about the electoral process. Every conversation was a step toward building civic power in our communities.

📍 Red Bank | May 31, 2025

Later in the month, we joined local advocates and volunteers at Red Bank Middle School for a community listening session followed by a neighborhood canvass. The session created space for community voices to be heard, while the canvassing helped translate that dialogue into action. It was a strong reminder that change begins with connection.

📍 New Brunswick | June 1, 2025

Our most recent canvass brought over 50 volunteers together in New Brunswick for a day of action. The turnout reflected the strength of our grassroots organizing and the excitement building around civic participation. With every door knocked and every voter engaged, we’re laying the groundwork for a more inclusive democracy.

Why It MattersThe Million Voters Project is more than a voter outreach campaign—it’s a movement to ensure our communities are seen, heard, and counted. From listening sessions to door-to-door outreach, LANF is committed to lifting up voices that have too often been left out of the conversation.

We’re proud of our team and all the volunteers who have joined us along the way. Their energy, commitment, and love for our communities are what make this work possible.
